At the accommodations participating in the Legendary Lodgings program, guests get to be acquainted with local fables, their heroes, and their unique, mysterious tales. Each individual guesthouse or other accommodation got assigned a fable, which they could call their own, either because of some childhood memory, or because the accommodation is located close to location of their chosen fable. Visitors have the chance to taste the special menus, objects related to the individual fables and child friendly solutions. We have marked the accommodations associated with the programme with a special logo.
Part of the preservation work done by the Székelyföldi Legendárium team is the Mini Transylvania park, while the books, maps, cartoons were created to close the gap between our modern lifestyle and the countless collected fables from our ancestors. Their work is based on the collected works of Orbán Balázs, which they chose to process, but the team has also done some fieldwork, collecting old tales and
folk stories, leading to the discovery of a significant number of previously unknown legends. After the work of a decade the team burst from the local bubble as their work started to be acknowledged internationally, mainly in European countries, but some of the cartoons made it as far as Hollywood.
