The museum was named after the ethnographer Molnár István (1910-1997), it was established in 1946, and exhibits the collections of the Unitarian High School. This institution has played an outstanding role in the cultural life of the town in the past 70 years. Besides its regional museum character it has rich archeological, historical, local historical, ethnographical, natural historical and fine arts collections, which make the museum even more appealing for the visitors. Permanent exhibitions: archeological-local history, outdoor ethnographical department with two country houses (the one in Kecset was built 1853, and the one in Tarcsafalva in 1780, barnyards, szekler gates), hall of the folk industrial structures, basement exhibition presents the agriculture of the region, ceramics sight warehouse, the flora and fauna of our area.
