Petőfi ’s pear tree in the garden of the Gyárfás mansion. On 30 July 1949 Petőfi Sándor spent his last night in Székely-keresztúr, at the Gyárfás manison. He had his dinner here for the last time, and at the dawn of 31st he left to the battlefields of Fehéregyháza. According to the legend under the pear tree he recited his poem ‘One thought’.
